They insist on ruining pork belly by slicing it ridiculously thin. Have asked them multiple times to cut it a specific thickness only to have them go in the back and again cut it not as requested but to their own judgement. They won't put out uncut chunks of it even anymore and immediately ruin all they have on hand by cutting it paper thin.
The workers are friendly and very helpful. The price is usually competitive with other stores with the exception of the tent sales. The best prices anywhere
OK prices if you are smart about which things you buy here. Fresh produce is often better at any other store (or at least it nearly always lasts longer). Polite cashiers but consistently rude or unpleasant baggers work for tips only (not sure why it is set up this way). Very cool foreign items are stocked here often on holidays. Other (typically) common local items are a little bit more limited in variety/brand etc.
Not a fan, but ok for a few things. Majority of staff have a bad attitude. Would rather go to Wal-Mart or publix than deal with that.
Love to shop there.
Commissary at Ft .Benning is conveniently located across from P.X. they have a large selection of fresh produce. The isles are neatly stocked. Helpful and friendly service. The meat case is arranged for easy selection. The prices are reasonable for military families.
As far as commissaries go, this one is pretty average. The systems go down, refrigerators break, employees don't much care about anything. Some things are cheaper, but it's really not even tax free since they charge you a % to cover their operating costs, but that's communism.
The rest of the meat is sub-par and all cut thin. Their "thick cut" is actually what would be normal anywhere else. Even their prime packaged meat is cut thin.
