The er really needs big improvement in care and professionalism. I've been in health care for 26 years and never have I seen anything like this. They are horrible and let me add I'm talking only of night shift ER.
My delivery and RNs were nice, but the pediatrics has lost my son's immunization records 3 times!!!! Then accused me of never bringing them, even though they transcribed them onto GA forms so I could enroll him in hourly care. Ridiculous.
My son collapsed during training and suffered extreme heat stroke. He was rushed by ambulance to Martin. He was moved from the ER to the ICU. Every staff member that I came in contact with were amazing!! The hospital Commander can even be seen walking the floors and when my son was alone without family and scared in the ER waking up in pain and hooked to machines, the hospital Commander himself took the time to talk to him. When we arrived, he was in the ICU and you would not have asked for better patient care. Every Doctor, Resident, and RN that stepped foot into his room were great!!! I am forever thankful to everyone who had a part in my son's care. I know that when his life was on the line they took the necessary measures to make sure my son was taken care of.
ER is a joke. front desk ladies are rude. super unprofessional nurses and they take forever to check you out if they don’t believe it’s a real emergency. i was the only patient at 3am this morning and they were taking forever and made it a point that i should’ve went to a primary care doctor. they were wasting my time cause they felt as i was wasting theirs. really mean women that work here. why would i go in at 3am if i hadn’t felt like it were an emergency? i just ended up leaving cause i was tired of being treated badly when i already felt horrible. i didn’t just wake up and think it’d be a fun idea to go and hang out at the ER
I have had both good and bad experiences. The bad was the first PCM I was assigned. The lady didn't know her a** from a hole in the ground. She was careless with my health care. I now have a new PCM and she is fantastic. The emergency department is mediocre. Pharmacy is mediocre sometimes and awful at others. I once waited 2 hours for prescriptions just to be told to wait some more.
